escene.de: Hello Dominik, thank you for accepting this interview. The transfer of KuroKy to Na’Vi has been the most discussed topic in the past. You replaced him with Max ‚qojqva‘ Broecker, a very young player. How did the first matches turn out for you and your new lineup from your point of view in the end?
Dominik ‚Black^‘ Reitmeier: Hi, no problem. The first matches went pretty good and it was a surprise to all of us. He managed it to get along with the team quite quickly.
Did the transfer affect the teams style of playing?
Not really… the only problem was the lack of a real „captain“. That problem has been solved though.
»I personally LOVE offline events«
What do you think is currently your biggest strength and what do you need to work on in the future?
Our strength is definitly the early game and our individual talents. We will have to work on the teamplay and the decision making in the future though.
There are not many German Dota 2 teams. How difficult was it to find a German player, that fits into your team? Do you think there is a lack of newcomers?
The problem in Germany is the way players look at the game DotA. Most of them don’t take it too serious and troll (even in competitive teams). I do believe that there will be a lot newcomers worldwide not only in Germany, once DotA comes out of the beta stadium.

Would you like to play another role inside the team on a longer basis or do you think you will still be the carry-player in the future?
I play at Mousesports on the positions 1-3. Usually you will see me in the role of the carry player which is also my strongest one but i could also play the other two positions. I personally don’t care that much as long as we will win at the end.
After League of Legends established the Championship Series which is an offline league, Blizzards plans to do a similar thing for StarCraft 2. Would you wish for an international league in Dota 2, which is played in TV studios or do you think it is too early for this yet?
I personally LOVE offline events. They promote the games more than any other events do and I would appreciate more events like that.
Dota 2 broke all records of active players on steam and it is also becoming more and more famous in asia. Do you think Dota 2 will do a big step, once the beta is finished and are you, as a player, satisfied with the current progress of Dota 2?
I’m very satisfied with the progress. There are many tournaments worldwide, where even unknown teams can prove themselves. There are many LANs and the scene as well as the
sponsors become more professional over time. The number of players will drastically increase, once the beta officially ends.
As a player at moussports, you are surly a role model to many newcomers. Do you have an advice for players who want to make the step into the professional gaming? How did you establish the contact to your first professional team for example?
I have to admit, that I was very lucky. Immediatly as I started playing DotA, I became part of a professional team as their 6th player. That means I could learn a lot by watching
them. For all those people who are not that lucky, I can only say: Watch replays, play a lot and if possible find people who have the same goal like you. Try to slowly level up. DotA is a very time consuming game and you will need to put in much effort in order to aim at a professional career.
Thank you for this interview Dominik. The last words are up to you.
