Counter Logic Gaming hat sein Roster für den kommenden Spring Split enthüllt. Nach der verpatzten Weltmeisterschaft und den darauf folgenden Abgängen von AD-Carry Yilian ‚Doublelift‘ Peng und Mid-Laner Eugene ‚Pobelter‘ Park, musste man sich nach passendem Ersatz umsehen.
Zuletzt lief das Team mit Choi ‚HuHi‘ Jae-hyun und Trevor ‚Stixxay‘ Hayes als Ersatz für Pobelter und Doublelift bei der IEM Season X/San Jose auf. Obwohl man damals kaum Zeit hatte, sich nach geeigneten Ersatzspielern umzusehen, erreichte CLG den zweiten Platz, wo sich das Team nur Origen geschlagen geben musste.
Nun möchte die Organisation bei diesem Roster bleiben. Obwohl sich während des Turniers einige offensichtliche Schwächen bei HuHi und Stixxay bemerkbar machten, ist man zuversichtlich, dass man mit dieser Aufstellung Erfolg haben kann. Head Coach Tony ‚Zikz‘ Gray betonte vor allem, dass man auf Teamwork setzt und sich nicht nur allein auf individuelle Stärken verlassen möchte:
I believe that if you want great players and a great team, you have to work in a culture that fosters great people. In order to find success, people must be capable of working well together and communicating effectively. As a team, we have chosen every player on this roster as the best for their role to fulfill their duty to help the team grow. With this roster, everyone knows that no one is bigger than the team and we can instead work on the things that really matter. CLG will be the team that will show you that teamwork trumps all.
