In den vergangenen Monaten ist CS:GO mehr und mehr zu einem wichtigen Bestandteil der E-Sport Landschaft geworden. Uns bei escene.de gefällt diese Entwicklung natürlich besonders, da wir ein Teil dieses Wachstums geworden sind und Global Offensive seit der ersten Minute als Berichterstatter begleiten und an den Erfolg des neuen CS-Titels geglaubt haben und noch immer fest davon überzeugt sind. Umso mehr freut es uns ankündigen zu dürfen, dass ihr ab dem heutigen Tag auf escene.de nicht nur über die Geschehnisse in CS:GO lesen könnt, sondern auch die Spiele auf unserem nagelneuen Livestream escene.TV anschauen dürft. Für die Übertragung samt Kommentar konnten wir mit Cameron ‚Bainshie‘ Law einen der aufstrebendsten Caster im CS:GO-Bereich für uns gewinnen. Bainshie überträgt in englischem Kommentar die spannendsten Partien der ESEA Invite Division, der ESL Major Series und weiteren Events in der Zukunft. Interview mit Kommentator Bainshie
escene.de: When did you start casting CS:GO and what are your goals as a caster for the future?
Bainshie: I started casting during the group stages of i47 where I noticed there wasn’t anyone casting anything (those of you who saw that, I’m sorry), and have continued from there, being a little more serious over the past few weeks. I don’t really have any long term plans past seeing how far this fun past time can go, and hopefully being entertaining to at least a few people.
Do you have any favourite eSport tournament/event that you would like to visit? Perhaps even as a caster?
My favourite eSport event has to be the International Dota 2 series. Whilst not counter strike, the event symbolizes everything that eSports should be for all games. As for visiting I’d love to attend a Dreamhack at some point, the ultimate gamers LaN, and to cast that would amazing beyond words.
Are there any teams you like to cast the most?
Surprisingly, I’m not that fond of watching NiP compared to some other teams. Don’t get me wrong they’re a great team, but they are so far ahead of the competition that most of their matches are one sided stomps. Overall ESC is my favourite ‚to watch‘ team, as their skill is increasing at an amazing rate, and they are full of amazing players providing lots of interesting to watch matches. I also have a UK biased fanboyism for FM Toxic.
