ESL One Cologne 2015 findet in der Lanxess Arena in Köln statt

Erst Gestern gab die ESL den Namenswechsel der ESL Pro Series in „Deutschlands Beste Gamer“ bekannt. Heute gehen die Meldungen der ESL weiter: Die ESL One Cologne 2015 wird nicht wie gewohnt auf der Gamescom stattfinden, sondern zum ersten Mal in der Lanxess Arena in Köln. Die ESL wollte es der ESL One Katowice im März nachtun und wird das Event in einer Arena stattfinden lassen.

Die Lanxess Arena wird hauptsächlich von der Eishockey Mannschaft „Kölner Haie“ für öffentliche Spiele sowie für Konzerte benutzt. Zum ersten Mal darf nun aber auch der Esport in der Arena Einzu halten. Die ESL One Cologne findet vom 22.-23. August statt. Insgesamt warten $250.000 Preisgeld auf die Teilnehmer des Turniers.

We had the honour of hosting two USD 250,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments last year as part of the ESL One esports tour, and this year we plan on stepping it up. ESL One Cologne is going to be the largest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event in the world. Taking place in the biggest indoor arena in Germany, we’re sure it’ll be a massive hit for fans from all over.
