Evil Geniuses verpflichtet ehemaliges CLG.EU LoL-Team

This announcement has been a long time coming, and it was fraught with deliberation over several months – an array of meetings with different parties were held over this period and we were very transparent with those involved. It is sad that CLG was not able to accommodate two top League of Legends teams, we had a great year with them and George has been a fantastic friend throughout and I wish him the best of luck in the future – which I believe looks very bright for CLG with Kelby & Garvey’s assistance.
You may question the integrity of this announcement when some may say it has been leaked already – in response to those leaks I would like to add that hiding such announcements, especially ones which have been undergoing negotiations for almost 5 months, is no easy task and near impossible. In large part, this is due to the structure of eSports – word travels through the grape vine and it eventually gets to people who can’t be trusted with the information.
We didn’t want to announce it sooner because we wanted to make the announcement special. Obviously, some of that was lost when it was „leaked” – but I personally feel like these kind of announcements are much cooler, intriguing and interesting than a speculative article…

hopefully I’m not wrong!
I would like to extend my thanks to you guys (the community) for your patience, support and understanding through what’s been a busy couple of months for our team, and I’m glad we can finally move forward onto what promises to be a great year. Our fans are largely the reason we are here today – you have supported us through the many ups and even the downs of 2012 – it was an incredible year. Tuning into the NA League Champion Series qualifiers, followed by IEM Katowice and now the EU qualifiers – I simply cannot wait for the season to kick off. It’s going to be AWESOME!
Update on what our team is doing: we will be moving to Germany on the 1st of February, as we knuckle down for the start of the season on the 9th of February – I found out Yellowpete will no longer be tucking me in at night and it will be a very attractive 20 year old Swedish girl (this was genuinely disappointing news), Krepo is no longer an alcoholic and his diet consists of raw carrots, Wickd is trying to recruit more Danish subs to convert us all into Danes, and Froggen… is a PIMP (I’m not kidding, don’t ask why).
