Fnatic trennt sich von Gamsu – Kikis tritt an seine Stelle

Überraschung aus dem Hause Fnatic. Wie die Organisation heute bekannt gab, verlässt Top-Laner Noh ‚Gamsu‘ Yeong-jin das Team. Als Grund hierfür wird angegeben, dass die Ziele beider Parteien nicht aufeinander abgestimmt werden können. Gamsu trat dem Team zum Beginn des vergangenen Spring Splits als Ersatz für Heo ‚Huni‘ Seung-hoon bei. Als neuer Top-Laner wurde Mateusz ‚Kikis‘ Szkudlarek bekannt gegeben, der vor allem durch seine Zeit als Unicorns of Love-Jungler bekannt ist, bevor er für G2 Esports auf die Top-Lane wechselte.

Zu Beginn des Summer Splits gab es bei G2 interne Streitigkeiten, da Kikis mit der Top-Laner Situation unzufrieden war, nachdem G2 mit Ki ‚Expect‘ Dae-han ein zwei Top-Laner-Modell aufbauen wollte. Kikis verließ daraufhin die Startaufstellung und war nur noch als Substitute gelistet. Nun kehrt er G2 endgültig den Rücken und tritt Fnatic bei.

Statement Kikis zu seiner Zukunft mit Fnatic:

I am back, again, and this time I am not missing worlds. I am glad to be given this opportunity and I will do everything in my power to make sure we get there. I look forward to working with both the players and the staff of FNATIC. I will work with Werlyb onwards to see how much this situation can benefit the team and both of us. I have changed my approach to the sub situation because the conditions at FNATIC can’t be compared to those at G2. The background is different and I know where I stand from the start. After I try things with a positive attitude I will be able to better judge substitutions like this. After all, everyone is here to succeed and to try and be as good as possible!
