Jonathan ‚Loda‘ Berg verlässt The Alliance

Der langjährige Captain des Alliance Dota 2-Teams, Jonathan ‚Loda‘ Berg, verlässt das Team für einen nicht festgesetzten Zeitraum. Ersetzt wird er für diesen Zeitraum von Adrian ‚Era‘ Kryeziu, der noch vor einer Woche für das jetzt aufgelöste Dota Team von Ninjas in Pyjamas angetreten ist. Durch diese Änderung ist jetzt der Zeitpunkt erreicht, an dem alle Spieler des TI3-Champion-Lineups entweder inaktiv sind, oder die Organisation komplett verlassen haben. 

In seinem Statement zur aktuellen Situation erklärt Loda, dass es ihm aktuell nicht möglich sei, sich zu 100% auf seine Rolle als Spieler und Captain zu konzentrieren und dass es an der Zeit sei, „den Jungs eine Chance zu geben, etwas aufzubauen“. Gleichzeitig stellt er aber klar, dass eine Rückkehr nach dem The International 2017 sehr wahrscheinlich sei.

It has been a hard year being an Alliance fan, and it has been a hard year for me personally. […] I have not been able to give Dota my 200% focus and to anyone aiming to win TI that says it all. […] This was not an easy decision to make, and I know that a lot of you will be very disappointed. But it is the right one for me, and I hope you can respect that. In interviews I often talk about paving the way for someone new, this is no longer my team and it is time to let the boys have a go at it themselves. […] I will be away from the pro scene until after TI when I will most likely return to the squad.
