Die DreamHack Austin startet am 28. April. Das Turnier ist der Beginn einer ganzen Reihe an Events, denn bereits am 3. Mai startet die IEM Sydney und am 6. Mai die DreamHack Tours. Die DreamHack Austin hält ein Preisgeld von $100.000 bereit mit acht teilnehmenden Teams im Austin Convention Center. Gespielt wird in zwei Gruppen, wobei jedes Team, das zwei mal verliert ausscheidet. Die zwei besten aus jeder Gruppe ziehen ins Halbfinale und letztlich ins Finale am 30.04 ein.
