Reginald & Locodoco sorgen via Twitter für Aufregung

Vor einiger Zeit berichteten wir darüber, dass die Verantwortlichen bei Team SoloMid den Spielern einen Maulkorb verpassten, was die Nutzung sozialer Netzwerke angeht, sollten die Leistungen nicht stimmen. Seit gestern stellt sich die Frage, ob sich eben jene Verantwortlichen nicht nun selber einen Maulkorb verpassen sollten, aufgrund von eigenem Fehlverhalten via Twitter.

Doch was war eigentlich geschehen? Beim gestrigen Spieltag der World Championship Gruppenphase saßen sowohl der aktuelle AD Carry, Yiliang ‚Doublelift‘ Peng, als auch der ehemalige Coach von Counter Logic Gaming, Christopher ‚MonteCristo‘ Mykles, mit am Analysetisch. TSM Besitzer Andy ‚Reginald‘ Dinh sowie TSM Coach Choi ‚Locodoco‘ Yoon-sub haben sich hierzu, wie sowohl die Betroffenen als auch die Community fanden, in einer nicht ganz korrekten Weise via Twitter geäußert. (Locodoco hat seinen Tweet mittlerweile wieder gelöscht)

Nachdem sich die Betroffenen zu Wort meldeten und MonteCristo bekannt gab, dass er sich diesbezüglich auch an Riot gewandt hatte, gab es heute sowohl von Reginald als auch von Locodoco eine offizielle Entschuldigung:

Statement Reginald:

In regards to what has happened, my meaningless jab at Doublelift was a dumb joke, but it quickly spiraled into something more. My intention was not to create drama. I regret making those statements and I really messed up. I want the attention of worlds to be about the hard work and dedication of the players. My comment on twitter took away from that. The spotlight should really be on the competition. Moving forward, I want to be a better representative for TSM and I want fans to be proud of us for coming so far. From here on out my main focus will be helping my team. I’m sorry for my lapse of judgement.

Statement Locodco:

My tweet towards Monte was an uncalled for personal jab, as I used to be good friends with Monte I took things he said personally and lashed out. Being a coach of organization like TSM comes with a lot of responsibility and my statements on social media misrepresented the team, the players, and Regi. I apologize to Monte and the community about my recent behavior and i’ll put my best foot forward. Sorry for all the drama that I caused, this situation will never happen again.

Kurz darauf meldete sich auch MonteCristo nochmal zu Wort und gab via Twitter bekannt, dass er die Entschuldigung von Locodoco akzeptiert und man sich nun wieder voll auf die Worlds konzentrieren sollte.
