Renegades wieder komplett – Rickeh kommt

Ricardo ‚Rickeh‘ Mulholland wird neues Mitglied bei Renegades. Der 24-Jährige beerbt Chad ‚SPUNJ‘ Burchill, welcher sich als Spieler eine Pause einlegen will. Das verriet Teammanager Chris ‚GoMeZ‘ Orfanellis in einem Gespräch bei HLTV. Mulholland spielte fünf Jahre für Immunity, wo er unter anderem beim Major-Turnier der ESL One Cologne 2015 auflief. Er soll die AWP-Rolle spielen, während Yaman ‚yam‘ Ergenekon sein Team als Ingameleader anführen soll. 

Damit hat das australische Lineup zum zweiten Mal in diesem Jahr einen Spieler von Immunity abgeworden, nachdem Karlo ‚USTILO‘ Pivac im Februar für Luke ‚Havoc‘ Paton nachrückte. Am heutigen Mittwoch muss sich die neue Teamkonstellation beim Last-Chance-Qualifier der ELEAGUE messen. Im ersten Match geht es gegen Flipsid3 Tactics. Nach HLTV-Informationen wird die ELEAGUE das letzte Event sein, dass die Australier unter der Flagge von Renegades spielen. Nach dem Ligaende soll ein neuer Arbeitgeber präsentiert werden.

After the recent retirement of SPUNJ we took some time to evaluate our options for a replacement player. We decided that Yam would move to IGL and we wanted a dedicated AWP player to fill that role. With this in mind, we concluded that Rickeh would be the best fit for our roster.

The addition of Rickeh to the team has been invigorating, as we have scrapped most of our old tactics/positions and started afresh with added motivation. We have been practicing as a team for 10 days now and, whilst we were not expecting to be playing a tournament this soon, we are optimistic about our chances of causing an upset.
