Smite Pro League : Woche 1

Die erste Woche der SPL ist vorrüber und man hat vieles zusehen bekommen. Spannende Matches, Favoritensterben und Außenseitersiege.

Darüber hinaus gab es noch einige Änderungen. Ein Spielerabgang in letzter Minute und ein neuer Sponsor ist noch eingestiegen. 

PolarBearMike (Team Captain // Gardian von Randozos ) dazu :

We did not feel Garz was giving a consistent effort on a nightly basis whether that be through communication in game or just general attendance for scrims. I think the 4 of us (myself, Adur0, Meerkat and ScaryD) would all agree that we have a lot of room for improvement individually and we are really striving to learn a lot quickly, and with that mentality we understand that we need to learn from every single game we play.

Das Team aus Nordamerika, Woony Tunes, hat nachdem die SPL am Donnerstag schon angefangen hat, noch einen neuen Sponsor aquiriert. Luminosity ist nun Teil der Smite-Esport-Szene und neuer Name des Teams.

Team Captain, John „BaRRaCCuDDa” Salter , äußerte sich wie folgt :

With all of the roster changes that have happened in the NA scene, we
are feeling pretty confident going into the Spring Split. Being able to
team with players that are as talented and mechanically skilled as Boosh
and Snoopy is a pleasure, as long as Boosh stops going Zeus Sunder mid.
Luminosity has had quite the impact in the esports scene and we hope to
bring them the same level of dedication and success as their other
teams.

Panthera macht einen bärenstarken Eindruck. Das Team mit 2 Matches in der ersten Woche holte auch gleich 2 Siege. Panthera, ehemalig Epsilon Gaming, also die WCS2016-Gewinner legen gleich mal vor und führen mit 4:0 nach Woche 1 die Tabelle an.
Allegiance und Lumenosity waren klare Favoriten für den Split. Man hat sich mehr erhofft. Aber beide Auftritte waren eher schwach. Es bleibt abzuwarten, ob der nur ein reiner Fehlstart ist oder ob das Level ein anderes ist und der Rest ihnen davoneilt.
