Gestern wurde es auf der offiziellen Website von Team Fusion, dem nordamerikanischen Challenger Team, welches am letzten NA Expansion Turnier teilnahm, bekannt gegeben: Das Team trennt sich nun von Support Nicolas ‚Gleebglarblu‚ Haddad und Toplaner Yoon ‚MakNooN‚ Ha-woon. Team Fusion macht jedoch deutlich, dass die beiden Spieler sehr stark zum Erfolg des Teams beigetragen haben.
MakNooN wird sich nun nach Korea zurückbegeben und sich nach einem neuen Job im professionellen League of Legends Geschäft umgucken. Laut Team Fusion überlege er zudem die Position zu wechseln, früher war er ein erfolgreicher Midlaner von CJ Entus Frost.
Von Gleebglarblu ist zurzeit nichts genaues bekannt, jedoch versichert er, dass er seine Karriere als professioneller League of Legends Spieler fortsetzen werde.
Team Fusion ist nun also gezwungen, sich in den nächsten Tagen nach einem neuen Toplaner und einem neuen Support umzuschauen.
Was Gleebglarblu angeht, scheint der Abschied schwerer zu fallen. Er äußert sich zu dem Thema wie folgt:
I want to express my gratitude and thanks to Alden and wish him and the rest of Team Fusion the best going forward. My performance in the promotional matches was a complete disappointment and I assume all responsibility for it, as any professional should. I’ve been going through a personal struggle dealing with Type 1 Bipolar disorder since July of last year which has been the most difficult challenge I’ve faced in my life so far. Treatment for mental illness is lifelong and something I must deal with but it is in no way an excuse or crutch for a poor performance. I’ve spent a good portion of my time back home reflecting upon my career in esports thus far and listening to what my parents and psychiatrist have to say. Considering all of that, I’ve decided to keep playing. This is my passion and I’m going to continue to pursue it relentlessly. I can’t say what I’ll be up to now, but there will be an announcement soon.
