Als Letzter in der Tabelle hat man es oftmals nicht leicht. Jede Woche wird es ein neuer Kampf, um aus dem Sumpf herauszukommen und die Wende zu schaffen. Doch als wäre dieser Kampf nicht schon schwer genug, gibt es nun auch Gerüchte über etwaige Spielerwechsel. Obwohl man bei Gambit Gaming nun einen Ersatz für Sebastian ’niQ‘ Robak gefunden hat, halten sich die Gerüchte weiterhin, dass die Organisation Marcin ‚Kori‘ Wolski als dauerhafte Lösung gewinnen will.
Der Midlaner gilt als eines der großen Talente in der LCS und dürfte vor allem nach der #BigSorry Affäre einem Wechsel gegenüber nicht abgeneigt sein. Doch nicht nur Kori scheint sich Gedanken über einen Wechsel zu machen, denn wie Quellen gegenüber der Seite The Daily Dot behaupten, sei auch Mimer ‚Mimer‘ Ahlström kurz vor dem Absprung, da er mit der aktuellen Situation bei MYM nicht zufrieden sei.
Als möglicher Ersatzmann wird Jesper „Jwaow“ Strandgren genannt. Für den ehemaligen Gamers2 Top Laner, der zurzeit bei Planetkey Dynamics spielt, wäre es nach drei verpassten Chancen endlich die Möglichkeit in der LCS zu spielen.
Aktuell gibt es noch keine offizielle Stellungnahme zu der Situation seitens der Organisation. Sobald es etwas neues gibt erfahrt ihr es hier bei uns.
*UPDATE* Wer den gestrigen Spieltag der EU LCS aufmerksam verfolgt hat dürfte es schon bemerkt haben. Bei MYM hat sich etwas im Lineup geändert. Mit Jesper ‚Jwaow‘ Strandgren hat das Team einen neuen Top Laner in den Reihen. Der ehemalige Gamers2 Akteur, vor kurzem noch bei Planetkey Dynamics als Neuzugang vorgestellt, wird ab sofort bei MYM tätig sein. Entgegen allen Gerüchten wird Mimer ‚Mimer‘ Ahlström MYM nicht verlassen, sondern in Zukunft als Assistant Coach tätig sein.
I have decided to step down from the main roster of MYM due to simply not feeling confident in my play anymore and lack of motivation with all that has happened. For the remainder of the split I will be staying in the house assisting with the coaching and try to help as much as possible while I figure out if I wanna proceed with coaching, return as a player or retire.
Jakob ‚YamatoCannon‘ Mebdi Statement:
After having a lot of conversations and getting to know him as a person, I am happy to say that he’s one of the most honest people I have ever met. When he approached me and said he no longer feels confident enough to compete at the current time, I couldn’t find it in myself to try to convince him of otherwise, since he is one of the few that stay true to others, and more importantly himself. If it was anyone else other than Mimer that performed as he has in the last few days scrims, I would request the roster change, but his honesty is a trait I value very much and put the decision in his own hands. Mimer will remain a vital part of the team and will help the team and me immensely in our goal to achieve greatness. Jwaow’s career is something I’ve watched closely in the past, I even had the chance to play two dreamhack events with him. He has the right attitude and right mindset and has proven in the past multiple times that he’s indeed a great toplaner. With that being said with the addition of Jwaow to the roster we can keep moving forward and make sure to catch him play this week in the LCS.
